Nereus Research Associate Colette Wabnitz (UBC) and Fellow Robert Blasiak (Stockholm Resilience Center) will be co-hosting a workshop on ocean finances at the Stockholm Resilience Center in Sweden. The workshop will have approximately equal representation from both academia and policy/practice, and has the following aims:

• Have a set of presentations and discussion around the Marine Policy Special Issue papers on ocean finance that Colette and Robert are co-editing (including the lead authors of the papers)
• Identify main drivers of decisions about the allocation of ocean and fisheries funding
• Discuss how to better track financial resources from donor agencies, governments, philanthropies and the private sector that are dedicated to sustainable fisheries and oceans
• Develop a future research agenda around support for sustainable fisheries and oceans.
